Since plastic residues (phthalates) are unfortunately found in all wild-caught fish today, we go the extra mile with a special purification process to minimize phthalates (chemical plasticizers in plastic). This purification is not required by the authorities, but it is something that we believe is important to get the purest fish oil possible.
ArcticMed omega-3 fish oil is blended with a selected laboratory-tested extra virgin olive oil.
The extra virgin olive oil is selected for its protective antioxidants called polyphenols and other bioactive components such as. hydroxytyrosol (against LDL cholesterol oxidation) and oleocanthal (anti-inflammatory).
You may feel the characteristic ”sting” from oleocanthal in the aftertaste.
